Overview
Built a multi-division corporate website for G7 Group, showcasing industrial trade, import-export operations, and consulting divisions. Structured corporate governance documents, product catalogues, and departmental RFQ routing.
The Problem
The legacy web presence had fragmented divisional branding, unreliable contact form delivery, and outdated non-responsive design that failed to establish credibility with international trade partners.
The Solution
Consolidated all divisions into a single unified WordPress theme architecture with modular division templates, transactional SMTP email routing for quote requests, and an accessible document downloads section.
Delivery Parameters
Project Constraints
₹30,000 fixed-scope contract
14 calendar days for multi-divisional corporate re-launch
Outdated PHP 7.0 shared cPanel hosting with blacklisted server IP causing transactional email failures
Consolidated three independent trade divisions into a single unified WordPress custom theme utilizing ACF Pro rather than visual page builders. Built reusable template blocks for corporate governance, compliance PDF repositories, and divisional RFQ routing. Resolved mail delivery issues by separating web hosting from mail transport via an authenticated SMTP relay service with strict SPF/DKIM verification.
Key Features
Engineering Obstacles
Challenges Overcome
Balancing distinct divisional branding while maintaining unified corporate design coherence.
Ensuring reliable international email inquiry delivery without spam filtering false positives.
Verification & Impact
Results & Verification
Transactional inquiry deliverability increased from ~40% (spam filtered) to 99.8% inbox placement via authenticated SMTP.
Page weight dropped by 74% from 6.2 MB (old bloated builder theme) to 1.6 MB.
Over 180 corporate compliance document downloads logged in the first quarter of deployment without server strain.
Under the tight 14-day turnaround, we used standard WordPress taxonomies for divisional catalogues. I would now implement a headless architecture with edge caching to decouple corporate brochure pages from CMS database queries, ensuring instantaneous international load times.
